  • I have a moment! :)

Well! Finally after many a week of not posting, and then only a couple scattered random thoughts posted, I have a moment....be it brief, to jot down a little something.

Honestly, while life has been exciting  for myself (when I say that every minute is filled, I'm not kidding), I'm afraid it is mostly details that would bore you all to tears. Mostly, I am working and doing school. While PHC DL has been hard, so far I definitely feel it has been worth it. The classes are great! Stretching, but manageable (be it barely, sometimes). Last night, I submitted the second of my two big essays due. I feel some relief.....but am losing sleep worrying about my grades. Can't they just get it over with?? Is my hair gray yet??

Hard to believe it'll be over in a few weeks.

Other than that, I am learning to balance my priorities and manage time wisely. Ouch. Like major ouch.

Almost our whole family is in our church's production of "A Christmas Carol" which has seriously been a highlight of this semester. I forgot how much FUN acting really is. *shivers* Can't wait for next rehearsal.......

Random thought: It is so cool to meet someone who knew your parent's way back when and listen to them remember how amazing they were. Especially when you can totally agree and assure them they are still as awesome as they used to be. :)

So now, it's back to finishing up school and praying about next semester. The story of my life. But that's where God wants me, so I'm cool with that.

That was boring and short and non-inspirational, but it was a post.

Love you guys (those of you who are still on here anyways.....jk, love you all;)!

  • zo fundamenteel.

    zo boring ben ik.

    haha.

EDIT: A little explanation. :) Despite lists upon lists of things to do, I was feeling bored last night and somehow or another found myself on xanga and Babel fish simultaneously and somehow or another decided to combined the two. *blushes* Thus: I translated "So basically. This is how boring I am. Haha." into Dutch. There was lots more that I translated......yes, hours of entertainment. What's more fun however is translating the above phrase back into English. "boring" gets translated as "drilled".

I really will try and do a real update soon. I feel stretched thin right now, so not at the moment. :)

"You know...Teddy Roosevelt...speak softly and wack everybody with a big stick."

    "Marxist suck."

    HELLO WORLD!

    My goodness!

I can NOT believe it's been over a month since I last posted (well....when I actually think about what all  happened, I guess I can ) Is that a first?

Honestly, it was good, I think, to take something of a break. To not be addicted to the computer and focusing more on relationships in person and especially with the Lord was refreshing. But not that I don't love communicating with you all on here of course! *hug*

    How are you all?

Summer over here so far as been CRAMMED. Seriously.

VBS was a wonderful wonderful experience. ..... and it's funny. I haven't really had time to even reflect and think about it till now (and even now it's just while I can update). I was so nervous to teach, and it turns out that that leading was better than assisting. And really, it seems like the kids get better every year...or do we just learn more every year? The Phantoms (MY TEAM!!! ) placed second overall....twas a huge team with about 40 kids. *whew* Gotta love it.

Character Camp was also a great week. It's always difficult for me to break off the relationships with the kids at VBS, but starting new ones with those at CC is sooooo good. Definitely different teaching a team of 40 kids than a team of 10 though.......I strengthened relationships with dear friends (did you know that spending an entire afternoon talking and laughing with 1 person can give you both sore throats?)....took a couple of hikes with lotsa goofy pics (which I haven't seen yet...!! Mandy....Javert.....*raises eyebrow* I realize you're like not in the state right now, but come on!! )...and yeah. Kids are awesome. It was hard though...I got pretty sick by the end of the week (and that's never happened there before *sniff*) But God was there...allllll the way. :)

After that and up till now, there's been a couple weeks "off" (ahahahaha, is there any such thing?).....I've been working, visiting with friends from out of state, went to an A's game in AWESOME field box seats (WOW are they amazing....!!!), saw Ratatouille (soooo cute I embarrassed my brother by laughing...quite loudly...in the theater....*smile* You only live once...), preping for Strategic Intelligence Camp at Patrick Henry College....I am SO hyPed about it!! I've been dying to go forever and now it's finally happening! We leave Saturday night......taking the red eye......and then! A week that I can't wait for!

Since I love picture posts...I decided to post some pictures. (brilliant)

    random....but I think it's so funny

VBS....one of my kiddos had the camera...

    probably him....

    FIELD BOX SEATS!!!!!

2 of my favorite people (but they like to make faces at the camera)

    me and mi madre <3

Weellll....things to do, places to go, people to see.......wish this could have been a more interesting post, but yeah. :D I'm hoping to post a couple more pics soon....Off to PHC this weekend, couple more fun weeks, and then! Next semester....... :)

    L8r g8rs!

About Me

  • First and foremost, I am a Christian. Secondly, I am an A's fan...*laughs* Ok, so maybe not, but tis waaayyy up there. Did you know I was BORN to be an A's fan? Yes indeedy. I serve an awesome God...and am falling more and more in love with Him and am finding myself more and more amazed by His breathtaking Creation...there is nothing more beautiful than looking through tree to the sky beyond. I can be extroverted or introverted, both suit me. I aim to live in the "past, present, and future" and have a passion for acting (both on stage and reality..it can be scary). I am a people person...with a wacky, strange sense of humor...what can I say? It's genetic.
